Hamish Purdey in Chicago to lead FFastFill's U.S. operation
Hamish Purdey has officially assumed responsibility as President of FFastFill Inc., the U.S. operation of London-based FFastFill plc
Purdey has just relocated to Chicago to assume the role for the derivatives industry's leading application services provider.
"I am pleased to have appointed Hamish to lead the FFastFill U.S. business. His in-depth knowledge of the industry, technology and FFastFill's business make him the ideal leader for our expansion in the U.S.," said Keith Todd, Executive Chairman of FFastFill plc.
"Hamish's experience and talents are well suited to our strategy of expanding our managed service offering in the United States," said FFastFill plc Deputy Chairman Jim Oliff, who also serves as the Chairman of the company's U.S. operations. "Our U.S. staff will benefit from his leadership skills, while current and prospective clients alike will appreciate his focus on customized service to suit their needs."
Purdey joined FFastFill plc in October 2000, working in a variety of technical, operational management and commercial negotiation roles in the company's London headquarters. As Commercial Manager, Purdey was responsible for relationship management, contract negotiations and the company's bid management process. During the past 18 months, Purdey also has had a business development role in Asia, exploring opportunities to expand the company's business in the region, including China, Australia and Singapore.
Prior to joining FFastFill, Purdey had 10 years of experience in the information technology industry for pharmaceutical, property and transportation companies based in Australia.
Born in Australia, he earned bachelor's degrees in Law and in Arts and a Master of Laws degree specializing in I.T. and e-commerce legal issues at the University of Melbourne. He has also received a post-graduate certificate in Applied Finance & Investment with the Securities Institute of Australia. He holds Microsoft, Cisco and Checkpoint IT industry qualifications.
