Third Party software integration
FFastFill offers three third-party integration solutions that allow
non-FFastFill applications to connect seamlessly to FFastFill's
trading infrastructure. These third party interfaces give
seamless access to the FFastFill message bus allowing full
integration to FFastFill core trading system, risk management
and exchange connectivity.
FFastFill FIX Interface
Financial Information eXchange (FIX) is a messaging standard developed specifically
for the real-time electronic exchange of securities transactions. FFastFill offers both
FIX 4.2 for order entry and FIX 4.4, which allows both order entry and exchange
price updates.
FFastFill BIC Interface
The Business Interface Component (BIC) allows users with custom applications that
are not FIX compliant to connect to the FFastFill message bus infrastructure.
This interface allows for closer integration than with FIX, and FFastFill can provide the
custom development capability to achieve a high level of integration by using its highly
cost-effective software development centre in Prague.
Software Architecture
FFastFill COM Interface
Microsoft's Component Object Model (COM) is a software architecture that allows
applications to be built from binary software components. COM is the underlying
architecture that forms the foundation for higher-level software services, like those
provided by Object Linking and Embedding (OLE). OLE services span various aspects
of commonly needed system functionality, including compound documents, custom
controls, inter-application scripting, data transfer, and other software interactions.
COM enables Microsoft applications to talk to each other with the minimum of
development effort. COM allows users the opportunity to apply trading business logic
without needing to understand the underlying code.
The FFastFill COM interface is ideally suited for the small firm or individual trader
with custom trading logic or an auto trading system, which uses one of the
standard Microsoft applications such as Excel, Access or Word. These users,
whilst understanding the business process, do not need to have any specialist
development skills.
